My family and I have loved and supported Baby Back Blues on and off for the last 20 years since we moved to the area in 2005. They have been one of my top favorites for many years. My husband and I supported them quite a bit throughout the pandemic as well, by ordering carry out rather frequently because we loved them so much and wanted to support a small business we loved during that time. We haven’t ordered from here a lot over the last couple of years, and for the first time in a while tonight, we had a taste for their food. We both ordered 2 rib platters, and we both opted for the two sides, with a drink, and added on two pieces of cornbread. My husband got the mac and cheese and mashed for his sides, and I got the coleslaw and mashed as my sides. After placing the order online, it said ETA would be 30 minutes. We live about 15 minutes away, so my husband left about 15 minutes after placing the order to get there with enough time. My husband arrived at 5:45 and was told that the order wouldn’t be ready for another 30 minutes because they got slammed with orders. Which, is understandable especially on a Friday night. Stopped by Baby Back Blues BBQ and was impressed to see the recent expansion. The dining room is now about twice the size, giving guests plenty of room to enjoy a meal, and they’ve added slot machines for those looking for a little entertainment after dinner. As for the food, they continue to deliver what has made them successful for years. * Ribs: Moist, tender, and delicious. * Cole Slaw: Sweet and flavorful. * Cucumbers: Crisp and refreshing. * Pickles: Garlicky enough to keep you reaching for another. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the experience reminded me why consistency matters so much in the restaurant business. It’s one thing to be good once. It’s another to be good year after year. Baby Back Blues has built a loyal following by doing the basics well, serving quality food, and staying true to what brought people in the first place. A great example of a local restaurant growing without losing its identity. Worth the stop if you’re in the Joliet area.

I've been to a lot of BBQ restaurants and have been critiquing them. I've only had the brisket sandwich with corn on the cob and cucumber salad. The brisket is not bad but its not great either, It was definitely the best part of the meal. Low on smoke flavor and bark, but tender and juicy, lacks any substantial flavor on it's own. You have a choice of mild or hot BBQ sauce. I tried both and they were both ok, nothing special. The corn on the cob was flavorless and chewy; the cucumber salad was overwhelming with vinegar, but i love vinegar and this was even too much for me. I would need to try everything in order to give a full assessment. The guys behind the counter were very friendly, polite, inviting, professional and make you feel comfortable. There is a ton of potential here for greatness. Just needs a little tweeking.

Awesome BBQ in Joliet, Brisket melts in your mouth. Super Bowl munchies for my wife and I. Can't go wrong. Greenbeans, Cucumber salad, Cornbread, delish man and some left over for tomorrow. Thankyou Baby Back Blues, visit you again soon. Everything I ate here was very good, never disappointed. They also added a very nice dinning area with 2 TV's to chill and watch a game while you enjoy your BBB chow.

Six small tables inside. However, much better to order food to-go from here. Doesn’t seem like many people come to eat inside. We sat in the restaurant to eat and were there for about an hour and while people came to pick up orders, no one sat here. We had beef brisket and fries. I would recommend both. Good tasty street style food This place is worth a try 👍
